National Communication System for Runaway and Homeless Youth Program
The Division of Runaway and Homeless Youth will award a 3-year cooperative agreement to operate the National Communication System for Runaway and Homeless Youth Program. This program is a dedicated toll-free, US national communication system providing information, referral services, crisis intervention, prevention approaches, and supportive services to vulnerable, at-risk, and runaway and homeless youth, and their families or legal guardians. The system aims to prevent youth from running away and becoming homeless, link them with resources, and increase prevention education. The National Communication System will serve as a vital resource for youth in need, providing a range of services to support their well-being and safety. By operating this system, the grant recipient will play a critical role in addressing the complex issues surrounding youth homelessness. The Division of Runaway and Homeless Youth is committed to supporting organizations that have experience in providing communication services to vulnerable youth, including telephone, Internet, mobile applications, and other technology-driven services. This cooperative agreement will enable the selected organization to build on its expertise and make a meaningful impact in the lives of runaway and homeless youth. Eligibility - Priority will be given to applicants with experience in providing communication services to vulnerable youth, youth at-risk, runaway and homeless youth - Applications from individuals, including sole proprietorships, are not eligible - Applications from foreign entities are not eligible - Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible for awards Funding - Award ceiling: $1,800,000 - Award floor: $1,000,000 - Number of awards: 1 2.
