Opportunity Overview
The Animated Graphic Visual Artist role involves creating animated graphics, illustrations, and visual effects for educational videos and digital communications. This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three years of experience. The artist will work with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to develop visual content that accurately reflects scientific evidence and approved clinical protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience producing animated graphics, visual design, or multimedia products, and will be able to apply visual design principles that are inclusive and culturally sensitive. The role involves collaborating with a team to ensure visual content is accurate and effective, and revising artwork based on feedback and quality assurance processes. Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and produce original animated graphics, illustrations, visual effects, and multimedia assets
- Develop visual concepts that effectively communicate complex behavioral health and clinical information
- Create animations that accurately represent evidence-based information regarding trauma, PTSD, effective treatments, recovery, and co-occurring conditions
- Design characters, environments, icons, infographics, motion graphics, and other visual elements
- Produce images, animations, and visual effects for use across multiple digital platforms
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, scriptwriters, project managers, and Government stakeholders
- Interpret storyboards, scripts, and creative direction to develop compelling visual narratives
- Revise artwork and animations based on Government review, stakeholder feedback, and quality assurance processes
- Ensure all visual products comply with established branding, accessibility, and Section 508 requirements
- Apply visual design principles that are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and appropriate for audiences with diverse backgrounds and traumatic experiences
- Maintain organized project files, graphic assets, templates, and documentation
- Coordinate with production staff to ensure graphic elements integrate seamlessly into final animated video products

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Animation, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related discipline
- Minimum of three years of experience producing animated graphics, visual design, or multimedia products relevant to the requirements of this task order
