Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

The Commonwealth Master's Scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. These scholarships enable individuals from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries to study for a full-time taught Master's degree at a UK university. The scholarships are part of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK operates the scheme, which is designed to support sustainable development and provide opportunities for international partnerships and collaboration. The scholarships are offered under six development themes and are intended for candidates from eligible Commonwealth countries. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission provides the UK government scholarship scheme, which is led by international development objectives. By supporting talented individuals, the Commission aims to help them become leaders and innovators in their home countries. The application process for the 2026/27 academic year is now closed, and the scholarships are for study in the UK beginning in September/October 2026. The Commission uses an online application system called CSC Central, and applicants must apply through this system.
