The Access Management Cluster Manager position is a fixed-term, full-time role in the Tournament and Venue Operations department, located in Brazil. This role involves overseeing and supporting Access Management Venue Managers across various official venues. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as IT & Systems, Sport Venue Management, Safety and Security, or a similar field. The role is part of a large tournament operation, and the ideal candidate will have experience in the sport event industry, preferably within access management, accreditation, safety, and security, or venue management. The Access Management Cluster Manager will be responsible for implementing and operating access management policies and procedures, planning and mapping key client group flows, and ensuring that all client group flows meet FIFA and local accessibility standards. The role also involves facilitating additional and exceptional access requirements onsite and assisting all client groups with any access-related issues. The position requires a range of skills, including effective interpersonal communication, influencing and negotiation skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under pressure. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Portuguese and English, have the right to work in Brazil, and be able to relocate to Rio de Janeiro.
Responsibilities
- Oversight, training, and support to the Access Management Venue Managers across all official venues
- Implementation and operation of Access Management policies and procedures for accredited individuals
- Planning and mapping of key client group flows, vertical transportation, and ingress points onto venue maps
- Ensuring all client group flows meet FIFA and local Accessibility standards and requirements
- Provision of key wayfinding information to FIFA Dressing & Signage
- Facilitating additional and exceptional access requirements onsite
- Assisting all client groups with any access-related issues
- Ensuring all Functional Areas at the venues can locate their working areas and know how to reach them
- Ensuring all access staff and volunteers are trained and understand their roles and functions
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education in IT & Systems, Sport Venue Management, Safety and Security, or a similar field
- Football access management knowledge
- FIFA access management knowledge is a plus
- Effective interpersonal communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with the sport event industry, preferably within access management, accreditation, safety, and security, or venue management
- Experience within FIFA is an advantage
- Operation and setup of complex access control systems within ticketing and/or accreditation
- Wayfinding and route planning in a stadium environment
- Single-sport, multi-venue event experience
- Management and leadership of a team in high-pressure tournament operations
- Demonstratable ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and under pressure
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
- Right to work in Brazil
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro
