The FIFA organization is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel Ethics to work in their Judicial Bodies department. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Miami. The role involves conducting ethics proceedings, investigating ethics cases, and drafting communications and reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal drafting and presentation skills, as well as knowledge of football governance and FIFA regulations. The Senior Legal Counsel Ethics will work autonomously to conduct ethics proceedings and investigate cases, including reviewing financial records and using forensic audit techniques. They will also support the preparation of witness interviews and statements, and liaise with other departments and external experts as needed. The role requires a law university degree and a strong understanding of legal principles and practices. The ideal candidate will also have experience in FIFA's Disciplinary and Ethics proceedings, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conducting autonomously ethics proceedings in accordance with the FIFA Code of Ethics
- Investigating ethics proceedings, including the review and analysis of financial records
- Drafting communications and requests for information to interested parties
- Supporting the preparation of witness interviews and statements
- Liaising with FIFA departments and subject-matter experts to secure support for Ethics Committee matters
- Analyzing testimonials and documentary evidence to weigh credibility and probative value
- Drafting final reports and decisions within ethics proceedings
- Contributing to the development of workflows, templates, and best practices

Requirements & Qualifications
- Law University degree (Bar Exam)
- Post-Graduate in Sport law is an asset
- Training or certification in white-collar investigations is an asset
- Excellent legal drafting and presentation skills in English

- Good knowledge of football governance and FIFA regulations
- Ability to conduct analysis and draw conclusions
