The Fleet and Bus Service Manager role is a fixed-term, full-time position in the Tournament and Venue Operations department, located in Brazil. This role acts as the primary liaison between the Transport FA and FIFA27 departments for all bus and minibuses related planning and operational matters. The manager will oversee the reception, inspection, and acceptance of vehicles, manage the return and decommissioning process, and ensure alignment with vehicle specifications, delivery timelines, and operational needs. This position requires strong transport and fleet or bus services experience in international major events. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing fleet services, developing operational plans, and coordinating with suppliers. They will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, subordinate staff, and ensuring all FIFA and supplier staff are properly trained. The role also involves providing regular reporting to senior managers and stakeholders, facilitating cross-functional collaboration with other event areas, and ensuring coherent and efficient engagement with fleet service matters. The Fleet and Bus Service Manager role is a key position in the Tournament and Venue Operations department, and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality fleet and bus services during the FWWC2027 and any ancillary events.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the Transport FA and FIFA27 departments for all bus and minibuses related planning and operational matters
- Coordinate the reception, inspection, and acceptance of vehicles
- Manage the return, decommissioning, and handback process of fleet and buses post-tournament
- Develop the fleet and bus services Operational plan and the Depot Concept of Operations
- Ensure implementation of the Operational plan across all Host Cities
- Manage all ancillary contracts and operational processes related to the bus and minibus services
- Act as the central coordinator for the development of service-related Policies & Procedures, reports, presentations, and Guidelines
- Manage day-to-day operations pre and during the event and subordinate staff
- Setup and manage bus timetables and required information into the Tournament Management System (TMS)
- Ensure all FIFA and supplier staff are properly trained
- Develop and deliver the full training program for all drivers and fleet operational team
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong transport and fleet or bus services experience in international major events
- Experience in at least two world-class sport/events
- Ability to manage day-to-day operations and subordinate staff
- Ability to develop and implement operational plans and policies
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other event areas
- Ability to provide regular reporting to senior managers and stakeholders
