The HR Generalist role is a 6-month contract-to-hire position, paying $30-32 per hour, with a preference for candidates based in Washington State, although remote work is possible. This role is a 50/50 blend of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, supporting a remote workforce while helping attract, hire, and retain top talent. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is equally comfortable managing payroll and benefits as they are sourcing and recruiting candidates. The role involves overseeing all aspects of people operations and recruiting, serving as a trusted partner to leadership, and helping build scalable people processes to support continued growth. The position requires a strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, as well as experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems. The company is seeking an HR Generalist & Recruiter to work with a remote workforce, and the role is expected to start on a specific date, with benefits packages starting on the first day of employment.
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, enrollments, and employee support.
- Coordinate payroll processing and ensure accurate employee records.
- Manage workforce planning, employee onboarding, and offboarding activities.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.
- Maintain HRIS and employee documentation.
- Partner with leadership on workforce management and organizational planning.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for legal, immigration, paralegal, attorney, case management, and corporate support positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Manage job postings, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting metrics.
- Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
- Create a positive candidate experience and strengthen the employer brand.

Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or a combined HR/Recruiting role.
- Experience managing payroll, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Proven full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience recruiting within legal, immigration, professional services, or consulting environments is preferred.
