What You'll Do

Represent A Healthier You, Inc. at community events, health fairs, and wellness festivals
Assist with event setup and breakdown
Welcome and engage with community members
Share information about AHY's programs and services
Distribute flyers and educational materials
Help with event registration and attendee check-in (when applicable)
Take photos and short videos for social media and marketing
Assist with transporting or organizing event materials as needed
Support staff and instructors during community wellness events

Volunteers will let prisoners set the agenda for discussions, which may include concerns about lack of family contact, medical problems, work or educational plans, and current events. The time commitment is a few hours per month, with a minimum commitment of 2 years to visiting, and volunteers must be willing to visit anyone without prejudice. The primary goal of Prisoner Visitation and Support is to provide human contact to prisoners who need it most.
