PFLAG Los Angeles is seeking a Spanish Support Group Lead to manage and oversee its Spanish-speaking Support Group. The role involves ensuring session coverage, training and mentoring co-facilitators, and facilitating discussions on LGBTQ+ topics. The organization provides training for its volunteers, so prior facilitation experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Spanish-speaking Support Group
- Ensure session coverage
- Train and mentor co-facilitators
- Identify emerging topics and resource needs
- Collaborate with board members and other volunteers to align the group’s goals with organizational priorities
- Facilitate discussions on a wide range of topics, including LGBTQ+ identities, family dynamics, gender identity, and gender expression

Requirements & Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish required
- Comfort discussing LGBTQ+ topics, including transgender and gender-expansive experiences
- Willingness to learn more about the unique needs and dynamics of the group(s) assigned
- Prior facilitation experience preferred, but not required
- Training provided
