Opportunity Overview
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is hiring Research Analysts for its Research Analyst Program (RAP), a two-year contractual program based at the IMF Headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C. This program is designed for recent graduates with strong quantitative and analytical skills, offering a unique opportunity to gain entry-level analyst experience and contribute to the IMF's research and analytical projects. The RAP may also meet requirements for applications to subsequent academic study. The IMF is looking for talented and motivated individuals to join its team, with positions available on a wide geographical basis. As a Research Analyst, you will work closely with economists and others on various projects, staying up to date with the latest developments in economics and related topics. The program offers a chance to work on a wide range of projects, from conducting research and collecting data to analyzing economic time series data and designing systems to facilitate interfaces between external and in-house databases.

Eligibility
- Recent completion of a bachelor's degree in economics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, finance, data science, or other related quantitative field
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.5/4.0 (or equivalent for international diplomas) in both the principal field of study and in the overall program
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision
- Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint), econometric packages such as STATA, EViews, MATLAB, and other statistical and analytical tools
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in other languages is a plus
