Opportunity Overview
Join UNICEF as a Social and Behavior Change Specialist in Papua New Guinea and make a difference in the lives of children. As a key member of the Health and Nutrition programme, you will design, implement, and evaluate behavioral change and social mobilization strategies to improve children's health and well-being. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse team, contribute to the achievement of sustainable results, and build the capacity of UNICEF staff and partners. As a Social and Behavior Change Specialist, you will be responsible for generating and using evidence to inform programme design, implementing social and behavioral evidence-based activities, and advocating for SBC. You will also work collaboratively with stakeholders, communities, and government counterparts to promote measurable behavioral and social change.

Eligibility Criteria
- Advanced university degree in social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations, or another relevant technical field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in social development programme planning, social and behavior change, communication for development, public advocacy, or another related area
- Experience working in social and behavior change communication in the area of health and immunization is considered an asset
- Proficiency in English is required
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is desirable
