Join the Danish Refugee Council as a Program Specialist - Gender Inclusion and Women Empowerment Specialist in Mogadishu, Somalia. This exciting role offers a chance to make a real impact on advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in the region. As a specialist in this field, you will play a key role in defining and delivering the Women for Refugee Action (W4R) strategic ambition for advancing gender equality and women's empowerment. With a focus on intersectional gender and power analysis, you will lead the mainstreaming of gender programming, including technical design, implementation, and measurement of high-quality programs that advance gender equality and inclusion. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work closely with the programs MSD manager, corridor managers, and implementation colleagues, as well as partners, including women's and girls' rights and gender equality advocacy-focused organizations. Your main duties will include coordination and implementation, research and policy development, training and capacity building, monitoring and reporting, and collaboration and liaison. - Salary: Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council's Terms of Employment for employees on national contract.
- Contract Length: 12 months

Eligibility Criteria
- Education: A degree in social sciences, gender studies, development studies, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: A minimum of three years of technical experience in operational/technical/coordination support capacity, with previous experience in gender equality, social inclusion, or related fields preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with proficiency in data management and reporting tools beneficial.
- Language: Somali language proficiency preferred.
- Location: Mogadishu, Somalia.
