Opportunity Overview
The International Energy Agency (IEA) is hiring a Junior Renewable Energy Policy Analyst in the Renewable Energy Division, located in Paris, France. This is a 2-year position with the possibility of extension for another year, subject to yearly review concerning priorities, availability of funds, and satisfactory performance. The IEA is part of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), an international organisation that works to build better policies for better lives. The Renewable Energy Division is responsible for assessing the status and progress of renewable energy technologies, markets, and policies. The Junior Renewable Energy Policy Analyst will work on the Agency's analysis of renewable energy policies and markets in Member countries and emerging economies, contributing to the annual flagship Renewable Energy Market Report publication. They will also contribute to the update and enhancement of the renewable energy section of the IEA Policy Database. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of renewable energy policies in the electricity, heat, and transport sectors, as well as experience in the development of quantitative metrics to assess policy and regulatory frameworks. The OECD is comprised of 38 member countries and works to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. The IEA is a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.

Eligibility
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline (political sciences, international relations, economics/econometrics, engineering, physical sciences, statistics)
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in the field of renewable energy policies
- Good understanding of renewable energy policies in the electricity, heat, and transport sectors
- Experience in the development of quantitative metrics to assess policy and regulatory frameworks
- Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and a knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the other
