The Graphic Designer role is a fixed‑term, two‑year contract focused on producing farmer‑facing materials, internal reports, newsletters and other visual collateral for two to three country portfolios. Applicants will work closely with program managers, field officers and external partners to translate complex agricultural concepts into clear, brand‑aligned designs for both print and digital channels. Responsibilities - Independently manage design projects from brief through concept development, stakeholder review, production and final delivery, ensuring adherence to One Acre Fund’s brand standards. - Produce high‑quality print and digital assets, including brochures, training manuals, newsletters, infographics and packaging concepts, tailored to diverse farmer audiences across different country contexts. - Review project briefs, recommend design approaches that meet communication goals, and adapt layouts for varying media formats. - Serve as the primary design contact for assigned country portfolios, coordinating timelines, expectations and feedback with program teams. - Prioritize multiple concurrent projects, maintain clear work plans, and communicate risks or delays proactively. - Identify opportunities to improve design templates, workflows and collaborative processes, contributing to continuous‑learning initiatives within the design team. Requirements & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Minimum five years of professional graphic design experience, with a proven track record of managing projects from brief to final delivery. - Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. - Strong print production knowledge, including preparation of production‑ready files and understanding of color management. - Demonstrated ability to design for varied audiences, with solid grasp of layout, typography, visual hierarchy and brand application. - Experience in packaging design from concept to production‑ready artwork is preferred. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; familiarity with Canva is an advantage. - Excellent project‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills, including the ability to set clear expectations, navigate feedback constructively and manage competing priorities. - Kenyan citizenship or permanent residency.
