Mandarin Blueprint is looking for a Chinese Speaking Tutor to help learners master the art of sounding like a native speaker. This role involves conducting high energy 1-on-1 and small group speaking sessions via Zoom, focusing on Chinese phonetics and oral fluency. The ideal candidate is an expert in identifying subtle tonal errors and providing corrective coaching. The tutor will work with learners to bridge the gap between understanding Chinese and sounding native. This involves implementing specialized training, guiding absolute beginners, and leading intermediate learners in conversational practice. The role requires a deep understanding of Mandarin tones and pronunciation, as well as high emotional intelligence and patience. Responsibilities
- Conduct high energy 1-on-1 and small group speaking sessions via Zoom
- Implement specialized training focused on Chinese phonetics, including initials, finals, and the four tones
- Guide absolute beginners through the first steps of oral production, ensuring a strong foundation from day one
- Lead intermediate learners in conversational practice, correcting nuances to ensure they sound natural and professional
- Track student progress and provide actionable feedback on speaking performance
- Collaborate with the coaching team to refine speaking curriculum and instructional methods
- Participate in weekly team check-ins and quarterly planning

Requirements & Qualifications
- Advanced B2 to C1 level in English
- Proven experience tutoring Chinese specifically for English speakers
- Professional experience teaching online via Zoom and managing digital schedules
- Deep understanding of Mandarin tones and pronunciation
- High emotional intelligence and patience
- Professional experience in a remote work environment
