Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality Requirements:
- You must be an international student (i.e., a non-Canadian requiring a study permit)
- You must not be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Academic Requirements:
- You must be in your final year of secondary school in 2026/2027
- OR have graduated no earlier than June 2026
- You must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and be among the top students at your school
- You must show creativity and leadership potential
- Nomination Requirements:
- You must be nominated by your high school - direct applications are not accepted
- Each school may nominate only one student per year
- Other Requirements:
- You must be beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027
- You must not already be attending post-secondary studies
- You must meet the University of Toronto's English language proficiency requirements (typically IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100 iBT)

How to Apply
- Confirm Your Eligibility (July - September 2026): Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and confirm your nomination with your high school.
- Secure Nomination from Your High School (July - October 9, 2026): Ask your guidance counsellor, principal, or head of school to nominate you for the scholarship.
- Apply for Admission to U of T (September - October 16, 2026): Submit your application for undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto.
- Complete the Pearson Scholarship Application (October - November 6, 2026): After your school nominates you and you submit your U of T application, you'll receive a private link to the Pearson Scholarship application.
- Submit Your Application: Complete the online application form and submit all required documentation by November 6, 2026.
- Wait for Results: Applications are reviewed by the scholarship committee, and successful applicants will be notified by the University of Toronto.
