About this opportunity
Opportunity Overview
The Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSP) offers funding and engagement opportunities to the South African research community. HFSP is an international research funding organization that supports frontier research in the life sciences. The organization provides two main types of opportunities: Research Grants and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programmes. The Research Grant Programme supports international teams of researchers pursuing innovative, interdisciplinary research in the life sciences. The programme encourages collaboration across countries and scientific disciplines. There are two types of grants available: Early Career Research Grants and Program Research Grants. The HFSP Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme supports early-career researchers pursuing frontier and potentially transformative research in the life sciences. The programme encourages Fellows to expand their research skills by working in a new country and often in a new disciplinary area.
