Eligibility Criteria
- You should either be a national of Portugal or hold regularised residence in Portugal.
- You should be registered for a Higher Professional Technical Course bachelor's degree, an integrated master's degree, or a master's degree with at least 30 ECTS credits.
- You should not already own a diploma or degree that is equal to or greater than the one you are seeking to apply for.
- Your annual combined income from your household should be below €11,049.89.
- The combined worth of movable assets such as savings or investments in your household must be below €115,303.20.
- Your contribution and tax position with the authorities need to be entirely regularized.
- (Exemption for individuals in humanitarian emergency situations, Syrian and Afghan refugees, and those with temporary protection status from Ukraine)

- Complete Educational Documents
- Taxpayer Number and Social Security Number
- Statements of the balance of your term and current bank accounts as of December 31st of the previous year for the academic year you're applying for
- Income tax return for the calendar year preceding the academic year you're applying for
- Municipal Property Tax declaration or property registry for your permanent residence
- Lease agreement, together with evidence of any supported rent or social housing where applicable
- Evidence of the IBAN of the bank account into which you wish to receive the scholarship
How to Apply
- Access the student section on the DGES website and log in using your user code and password to file your application.
- If you cannot recall your login credentials, you can readily recover them on the DGES portal.
- Look for a direct link in the application receipt email if you expressed interest in a scholarship.
- Before submitting, utilize the DGES Simulator to estimate how much you may receive.
