KREASI is hiring an Inclusive Education Advisor to provide senior technical leadership for inclusive education within the KREASI program. The Advisor will be responsible for designing and operationalizing inclusive education approaches that ensure equitable access, participation, and learning outcomes for children with disabilities and other marginalized groups. The role is based in Indonesia and requires deep expertise in inclusive and disability-inclusive education, as well as the Indonesian education and disability rights policy environment. The Advisor will work closely with the KREASI Education Manager, MEAL Manager, and Ecosystem Manager to ensure inclusive education is fully integrated across teaching, leadership, assessment, ecosystem strengthening, and evidence generation. The Inclusive Education Advisor will lead the development of inclusive teacher and principal professional development packages, strengthen partnerships with national stakeholders, and ensure alignment with national inclusive education frameworks and disability rights principles. The Advisor will also provide technical leadership on the design and implementation of the Profil Belajar Siswa (PBS) tool, including safeguarding and ethical guidance covering data protection, consent, and appropriate use of student-level data. The KREASI program aims to improve education outcomes for children in Indonesia, and the Inclusive Education Advisor will play a key role in ensuring that the program is inclusive and equitable for all children, including those with disabilities. The Advisor will work with a range of stakeholders, including organizations of persons with disabilities, parent associations, academic institutions, and government actors, to ensure that the program is aligned with disability rights standards and best practices in inclusive education.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership for inclusive education within the KREASI program
- Design and operationalize inclusive education approaches that ensure equitable access, participation, and learning outcomes for children with disabilities and other marginalized groups
- Lead the development of inclusive teacher and principal professional development packages
- Strengthen partnerships with national stakeholders, including organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), parent associations, academic institutions, and government actors
- Ensure alignment with national inclusive education frameworks and disability rights principles
- Provide technical leadership on the design and implementation of the Profil Belajar Siswa (PBS) tool
- Support the integration of GEDSI and disability-inclusive approaches within School-based Child Protection (SBCP) mechanisms
- Coordinate closely with and provide senior technical support to the Education Manager and his direct reports
- Support the MEAL Manager to integrate inclusive education indicators, disability-disaggregated data, and learning questions into MEAL frameworks, monitoring plans, and evaluations
- Support the Ecosystem Manager on inclusive education ecosystem strengthening
- Actively participate in and contribute to the INOVASI-KREASI technical working group on inclusive education
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing technical culture across KREASI grounded in learning, accountability, and shared ownership of inclusive education results
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with national stakeholders
- Engage with donor coordination platforms and technical working groups on inclusive education
- Represent Save the Children and KREASI in inclusive education policy forums, donor coordination mechanisms, and technical networks
- Provide strategic oversight of partner capacity development approaches for inclusive education programming
- Serve as a master trainer on inclusive education
- Provide targeted on-site and remote technical support to partners on disability-inclusive classroom practices
- Provide technical leadership and strategic input to KREASI's inclusive education advocacy agenda

Requirements & Qualifications
- Deep expertise in inclusive and disability-inclusive education
- Proven experience designing and operationalizing inclusive education systems at scale
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian education and disability rights policy environment
- Experience working with organizations of persons with disabilities, parent associations, academic institutions, and government actors
- Strong technical leadership and program quality assurance skills
- Ability to coordinate closely with and provide senior technical support to the Education Manager and his direct reports
- Ability to support the MEAL Manager to integrate inclusive education indicators, disability-disaggregated data, and learning questions into MEAL frameworks, monitoring plans, and evaluations
- Ability to support the Ecosystem Manager on inclusive education ecosystem strengthening
- Strong partnership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to represent Save the Children and KREASI in inclusive education policy forums, donor coordination mechanisms, and technical networks
