Business Operations Associate

Obelisk Support is hiring a Business Operations Associate to work part-time, three days a week, starting in September. This fully remote role reports to the CFO and involves working behind the scenes to keep the business running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal, professional services, or compliance environment. The Business Operations Associate role is a key part of Obelisk Support's operations, and the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including workflow consistency and data quality, writing and maintaining operational process libraries, and running weekly checks. The role also involves compliance and supplier administration, systems administration, and process improvement. Responsibilities - Maintain workflow consistency and data quality - Write and maintain the operational process library as workflows are built and refined - Run a weekly rhythm of checks, including data quality, supplier renewals, compliance flags, and job records/timesheets - Track recurring data issues and surface patterns - Administer compliance and supplier administration tasks - Build and maintain a register of key operational and systems suppliers - Track statutory and operational compliance requirements - Maintain the insurance policy schedule and renewal calendar - Act as the first point of contact for routine operational system queries - Identify opportunities to simplify processes or remove inefficiencies Requirements & Qualifications - Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, such as project management or business analysis - Systems-confident and curious, with a genuine interest in how systems connect and where data flows break - AI-aware and open to learning - Able to work at pace and independently, with confidence in managing multiple workstreams - Familiarity with ALSP structures or in-house legal team operations would be useful - Right to work in the UK Benefits - Competitive salary and pension - 28 days' holiday, plus two extra 'personal' days off and birthday off - Private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and critical illness cover 2.
