Opportunity Overview The Indonesian Government offers the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship to support international students from developing countries pursuing higher education at premier institutions across Indonesia. Administered to foster human resource development and enhance cultural diplomacy, this initiative provides a pathway for academic and professional growth. For the upcoming academic cycle, a total of 222 fully funded slots are available, distributed among 30 Bachelor's, 162 Master's, and 30 Doctoral candidates. Selected scholars will be placed across 31 prestigious partner universities, including world-class institutions such as Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and Universitas Gadjah Mada. The funding package includes: Full Tuition Fees: Complete coverage for the entire duration of the degree program. Living Allowance: A monthly stipend to cover accommodation, meals, and daily personal expenses. Indonesian Language Course (BIPA): Free intensive language training for one year before commencing degree studies. Round-Trip Airfare: Economy class international airfare from the recipient's home country to Indonesia and back. Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical coverage during the stay in Indonesia. Research and Book Allowance: Financial support for academic materials and field research expenses. Research Publication Support: Assistance with publishing research after degree completion. Settlement Allowance: A one-time payment upon arrival in Indonesia to assist with initial relocation costs. Eligibility To be considered for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria: Nationality: Must be a citizen of a recognized developing country. Age Limits: Bachelor's degree applicants must be a maximum of 21 years old. Master's degree applicants must be a maximum of 35 years old. Doctoral degree applicants must be a maximum of 40 years old. Academic Background: Bachelor's applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and must not already hold a Bachelor's degree. Master's applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and must not already hold a Master's degree. Doctoral applicants must hold a Master's degree and must not already hold a PhD. Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through standardized test scores (such as TOEFL or IELTS) as required by the host universities. Endorsement: Candidates must secure an official recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in their home country. Required Documents Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents during the application process: An official recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in the applicant's home country. Academic certificates and official transcripts (translated into English if in another language). A valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining. Proof of English language proficiency. A comprehensive curriculum vitae. A statement of purpose or study plan outlining academic and career objectives. A medical certificate confirming physical and mental fitness to study abroad.
