Opportunity Overview The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring an ICM Caseworker to work remotely from Richmond, Virginia. ICM stands for Intensive Case Management, a program that helps newly arrived refugees and asylees navigate their first months in the United States. This is a junior-level role, meaning it suits someone with a few years of experience in social services or refugee resettlement who is ready to take on direct client work. As an ICM Caseworker, you would work with clients who have higher needs, such as survivors of torture, people with serious medical conditions, or families with multiple barriers to self-sufficiency. The role is fully remote, which is unusual for a casework position. Most IRC caseworkers work out of an office, but this posting allows you to work from home while coordinating services for clients in the Richmond area. You would need reliable internet and the ability to manage a caseload independently. The work itself is hands-on: you would meet clients virtually, connect them to community resources, track their progress, and document everything in the IRC's case management system.
