About this opportunity
Opportunity Overview
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is implementing the Accelerating Clean Transition in Asia programme, a three-year regional initiative to accelerate clean energy transitions and NDC implementation across developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The programme operates through three interlinked workstreams: a flagship annual regional convening, direct country support for NDC implementation, and tracking progress. The UNFCCC is seeking a project coordinator to provide day-to-day coordination and reporting support to the Regional Collaboration Centre for Asia and the Pacific team. The coordinator will work in Bangkok, Thailand, and support the team across the preparatory and delivery phases of the Asia ACT Forum and other programme events. The programme coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a consolidated workplan and tracking system, compiling and drafting inputs for periodic narrative and financial reporting, and coordinating internal and external meetings. The coordinator will also provide logistical and coordination support for programme events, including the Asia ACT Forum, and maintain a central repository of programme documents and knowledge products. The Asia ACT programme is part of the UNFCCC's efforts to support national climate action through capacity-building, technical assistance, and strategic networking. The programme aims to accelerate clean energy transitions and support the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
