The International Rescue Committee is hiring a Senior Officer for Sing Post in Venezuela to lead the implementation of the InfoPa'lante strategy, a multichannel information platform that provides practical information and individual support to people affected by the June 2026 earthquakes in Venezuela. The Senior Officer will supervise social media moderators, content teams, and directory services, as well as lead community activities with partners on the ground. The ideal candidate will have experience in humanitarian project management, team leadership, and community engagement. The Senior Officer will work in a standard office environment with some national travel required. Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise projects, including reviewing and approving content and publications for Sing Post platforms in Venezuela
- Lead the identification of potential partner organizations and establish information alliances
- Ensure the quality of products generated by the design team for publication on InfoPa'lante Venezuela platforms
- Lead methodological transfers to support the design and implementation of partner strengthening plans
- Maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including allied organizations and coordination platforms
- Complete monthly activity reports in accordance with the Protection Coordination guidance
- Support the application of information collection instruments based on social media moderation and community activities with partners
- Articulate and coordinate with other program teams, partners, and allies for service complementarity and case referral
- Supervise and monitor the approved procurement plan and projected distribution plan, ensuring timely execution
- Prepare and update work plans according to goals and the overall grant schedule
- Conduct follow-up and articulate with Operations, Alliances, and MEAL staff to ensure program activities and expenses are consistent with the execution plan
- Provide inputs and consolidate information from field teams for narrative report preparation according to agreed-upon schedules

Requirements & Qualifications
- Professional degree in Social Communication, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Experience in managing humanitarian projects or development projects with a focus on communications
- Minimum two years of experience in the humanitarian sector and in mixed implementation: direct and with partners
- Experience in working with and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in social media and content management
- Experience in technical strengthening and accompaniment to local civil society organizations
- Experience in training and formation processes
- Experience working with populations affected by natural disasters and at the community level
- Ability to dialogue and coordinate with community actors and other social and institutional organizations (strategic partners and allies)
- Skills for managing administrative processes and budget follow-up
- Ability to design and plan content grids, publications, and activities in coordination with the work team
- Positive and professional attitude, including the ability to direct and work well in a team environment
