Opportunity Overview
The International Rescue Committee is hiring a Data Collector in Sabha, Libya, to participate in data collection activities, monitoring, and evaluation assessments. The Data Collector will work under the supervision of the Monitoring and CRA Senior Officer, reporting daily findings. The IRC launched an emergency health response in Libya in 2016 and has since broadened its portfolio to include health, protection, and governance programs. The Data Collector will be based in Sabha, overseeing the data collection process in their respective areas of assignment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, and demonstrated experience in conducting field-level data collection and data analysis. The IRC is a humanitarian non-governmental organization that responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.
Responsibilities
- Participate in data collection activities including monitoring and evaluation assessments, focus group discussions, and Key Informant Interviews
- Conduct data collection and monitoring visits to project sites
- Ensure data quality during collection and entry
- Support in conducting regular CFM sessions, focus group discussions, and surveys to solicit feedback from clients and different stakeholders
- Provide support in CFM capacity building activities
- Participate in training, data quality checks, and audits
- Report progress findings and maintain documentation
- Assist in data analysis and interpretation
- Adhere to data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding protocols during all data collection activities

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting field-level data collection and some experience in data analysis
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience working with ICT tools, digital data collection, and analysis
- Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility
- INGO experience preferred
- Fluency in English and Arabic required
