Wayfinding and Signage Manager

The FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027 is hiring a Wayfinding and Signage Manager. This is a fixed-term, full-time position in Brazil. The manager will contribute to delivering a world-class dressing and signage project for the tournament. The role involves providing expertise in wayfinding signage guidelines, developing the wayfinding signage system, and overseeing its planning and implementation. The manager will work with other teams to ensure consistency across all tournament stadiums. The ideal candidate has relevant experience in delivering wayfinding and signage projects for large-scale events, such as the FIFA World Cup or Olympic Games. They should also have experience in managing major sports events and devising technical guidelines for wayfinding signage. Responsibilities - Contributing to the delivery of a world-class dressing and signage project - Assisting in the compilation of technical wayfinding signage guidelines, principles, and templates - Developing the wayfinding signage system used for project planning - Providing strategic input into the development and implementation of the wayfinding signage kit of parts - Overseeing wayfinding signage planning and implementation at tournament stadiums - Working with other Cluster Managers to ensure consistency across all stadiums - Oversight of contracted provider planning, production, and implementation - Monitoring budgetary impact of allocated wayfinding operations - Adhering to project deadlines and deliverables - Daily liaison with the wider Dressing and Signage team - Liaising with site owners and operators as required - Attending department-specific and organization site visits - Acting as the main wayfinding point of contact for Dressing and Signage Venue Managers - Assisting with the recruitment of Dressing and Signage project team members - Ensuring the needs of internal FIFA functional areas are captured and delivered against - Contributing to project management and knowledge management initiatives Requirements & Qualifications - Relevant experience in delivering wayfinding and signage projects for large-scale events - Experience managing major sports events with comprehensive wayfinding and signage activities - Experience devising technical guidelines and wayfinding signage kit of parts for large-scale events - Working understanding of technical aspects of delivering dressing and signage projects - Strong understanding of stadium wayfinding and signage requirements - Budget management experience on complex and multi-faceted events and projects - Experience managing providers of services for world-class events - Knowledge of event planning, requirements, and event project management processes - Significant stakeholder management experience across multiple organizations and departments - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an appropriate subject - Proficient in MS Office and planning software and online collaboration tools 2.
