Eligibility Criteria - Nationality: Open to applicants from developing countries only. - Age: Applicants should be between 25 and 40 years old. - Education: Must hold a law degree from a recognized university. - Professional Background: Must be a junior to mid-level government official or researcher specializing in ocean or maritime legal issues. - Research Proposal: Must propose a research topic relevant to UNCLOS implementation, particularly related to Part XV of UNCLOS (settlement of disputes). - Nomination: The nominating body (employer or government institution) must explain the applicant's current tasks and responsibilities and how the training will benefit the institution and the State. - Language Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of English or French is required, with working knowledge of the other language also required.
