About this opportunity
A dating app company is hiring a Backend Developer with strong NestJS expertise to build and maintain the server-side systems powering its platforms. The role focuses on keeping backend infrastructure fast, reliable, and scalable so that users get a smooth experience when matching, messaging, and browsing profiles. You would work remotely, collaborating with front-end developers to make sure everything connects . The company runs multiple dating applications and needs someone who can handle real-time traffic, optimize database queries, and debug issues before they affect users. Your day-to-day work would involve writing clean NestJS code, managing data across Redis, DynamoDB, and MySQL, and ensuring the APIs that power the apps respond quickly under load. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a management position, so expect to spend most of your time in the codebase. The hiring process is managed through Arc, a remote talent platform that connects developers with companies worldwide. Arc acts as an intermediary, so you would apply through their system and get recruiter support along the way. The company itself is in direct contact with Arc and can answer questions about the role, team culture, and technical stack. Remote work means you can be based almost anywhere, but you should be comfortable working across time zones if the team is spread out. The dating app space moves fast, with frequent feature releases and constant optimization, so you need to be comfortable iterating quickly and shipping reliable code.
