About this opportunity
Tencent Finance is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join its Finance IT Management Department, acting as the bridge between the company's finance operations and its technology stack. The person in this role designs, configures, and supports enterprise financial and planning systems running in a modern cloud environment. This is a strategic position, not a back-office IT job. You will sit between finance leaders and engineers, translating what the business needs into systems that actually work at scale. The role covers the full lifecycle of financial systems work. You will lead requirements discovery, build solution designs, configure systems, run testing, and support deployments from design through go-live. You will also drive continuous improvement across finance processes, integrations, data models, and reporting. The systems you touch support areas like Financial Management, Procurement, Banking & Settlement, Projects, Expenses, and Supplier Management. Tencent is a global company, so you will work across geographies and time zones, collaborating with teams in different regions. Tencent is one of the world's largest technology companies, headquartered in Shenzhen, China. It operates WeChat, one of the most-used apps on the planet, along with major gaming, cloud, and fintech businesses. The company has over 100,000 employees and operates across more than 30 countries. Its finance arm handles enormous transaction volumes, which means the systems you support are not small-scale. They process payments, manage supplier relationships, and track projects across a sprawling global operation. Working here means dealing with complexity at a scale few companies can match. The role is based in Shenzhen, a major tech hub in southern China. Shenzhen is a fast-growing city with a subtropical climate, hot and humid in summer and mild in winter. The cost of living is lower than in Hong Kong or Shanghai, though still significant by Chinese standards. English is the working language for this role, and Mandarin is a plus but not required. Tencent typically provides visa sponsorship for international hires, and the company has a strong track record of supporting expatriate employees with relocation. The work culture is intense, with long hours common in Chinese tech firms, but the compensation and career growth potential are correspondingly strong.
