About this opportunity
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the United Nations’ leading humanitarian agency, delivering food assistance to more than 115 million people in over 120 countries each year. Founded in 1961, WFP has evolved into a global logistics and technology network that supports emergency relief, school‑meal programmes, and cash‑based assistance. In 2020 the agency was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its work in preventing the weaponisation of food. The IT Solutions Assistant role is remote‑first, allowing qualified candidates to contribute to WFP’s digital transformation while staying connected to the headquarters in Italy and the regional office in Lebanon. Applicants are encouraged to use Oppora’s Studio tools during preparation: the CV Builder Studio formats a UN‑style résumé, the AI Cover Letter Generator crafts a concise motivation letter, and the Recommendation Letter Studio helps gather endorsement letters from former supervisors.
