About this opportunity
GOAL is hiring a Cleaner to maintain its office facilities in Saraqeb, Syria. The role involves daily cleaning duties, basic maintenance, and support tasks like preparing lunch and serving beverages to staff and visitors. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Saraqeb office. GOAL is an international humanitarian and development agency established in 1977. The organization has worked in over 60 countries and responded to nearly every major humanitarian disaster in recent decades. It is currently operational in 18 countries. GOAL began working in Syria in 2013, responding to the acute needs of conflict-affected communities. Its operations span Aleppo, Idleb, and Lattakia Governorates, with plans to expand to new areas. The Syria program employs over 500 staff and focuses on food and nutrition security, WASH, shelter, livelihoods, and emergency response, with an emphasis on cash and voucher assistance. GOAL implements programs directly and through Syrian NGO partners, working at household and community levels to strengthen resilience and coping strategies. Saraqeb is a city in northwestern Syria's Idleb Governorate, near the M4 and M5 highway intersection. The area has been heavily affected by the conflict, and humanitarian organizations like GOAL play a significant role in providing essential services. Working in Saraqeb means operating in a challenging environment with limited infrastructure, but also being part of a coordinated humanitarian response serving vulnerable communities. Candidates must already reside in Saraqeb, as the position does not include relocation support.
