Liaison Officer at Green Climate Fund — Kingstown

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is seeking a Liaison Officer to bridge the gap between GCF and national institutions, unlocking transformative climate investments. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with a global leader in climate finance, driving climate action and sustainable development in the region. As a Liaison Officer, you will play a critical role in facilitating knowledge transfer, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement, empowering local stakeholders and communities to achieve climate objectives. Benefits & Financial Aid - Daily Rate: $256.00 USD - Assignment Duration: 11 months and 29 days, with the possibility of extension - Working Days: Maximum of 180 working days - Language: English - Location: Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (in-person presence required) Eligibility Criteria - Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in climate change/environmental science, climate economics/finance, engineering, project finance or a closely related discipline (8 years of experience) - Master's or higher degree in a relevant field (3 years of experience) - Relevant Experience: - At least 8 years of experience in public and/or private sector with a demonstrated focus on climate investment and financing initiatives for climate change mitigation and adaptation - Proven experience in drafting concept notes and/or proposals for climate finance and managing climate change projects across the full cycle - Skills and Competencies: - Strong understanding of national and local institutional contexts with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented with strong presentation abilities - Familiarity with the GCF, including its operations and funding mechanisms (an asset) - Fluency in English - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability - Strong commitment to ethical standards, including integrity, transparency and accountability in all professional activities Required Documents - CV - Letters of Recommendation - Personal Statement 2.
