The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is offering a Junior Professional Officer position as an Associate Program Officer in the Regional and National Development Sector. This two-year position, with the possibility of a one-year extension, is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The extension is subject to a yearly review of priorities, funds, and performance. To be eligible, candidates must have at least three years of relevant work experience, which can be counted from the time they obtained their first university degree. The Junior Professional Officer will work in the Projects Team, supporting the development and implementation of projects that utilize intellectual property for development. The team delivers impactful projects with strategic thinking and expertise, driving lasting change for beneficiaries. The position involves working closely with other sectors within WIPO to facilitate the use of intellectual property for social, cultural, and economic development. The Junior Professional Officer will be supervised by the Manager of the RNDS projects and will perform a range of duties, including providing substantive input on IP initiatives, preparing documentation, and assisting in project development. The position requires excellent drafting skills, sound judgment, and advanced organizational and coordination skills.
