Senior Data Center Operations Engineer
Tencent is hiring a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer to contribute to its overseas data center strategy. The role involves overseeing local management of overseas data centers, including site selection, construction, and operations. The engineer will also manage IT operations, build and maintain relevant processes and documentation, and support IDC-related compliance certifications. The position requires a strong understanding of data center infrastructure and networking, as well as experience in IT management frameworks. The Senior Data Center Operations Engineer will work closely with overseas data center and network operators to build strong partnerships and ensure secure and reliable operations. The role also involves overseeing and evaluating on-site operations outsourcing partners and teams, as well as driving the development of the overseas IDC ecosystem. They will be familiar with IDC infrastructure architecture and mainstream infrastructure systems/equipment, and have knowledge of overseas operator internal operation mechanisms. The role requires strong operational service management skills, as well as strong communication, project management, and coordination skills. Responsibilities - Contribute to Tencent's overseas data center strategy - Oversee local management of overseas data centers, including site selection, construction, and operations - Manage IT operations for overseas data centers, including IT maintenance, relocation, decommissioning, warehousing, asset management, operational safety, and service management - Build and maintain relevant processes and documentation - Support IDC-related compliance certifications - Manage relationships with overseas data center and network operators - Oversee and evaluate on-site operations outsourcing partners and teams - Drive the development of the overseas IDC ecosystem Requirements & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above - 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure or networking - Familiarity with IDC infrastructure architecture and mainstream infrastructure systems/equipment - Knowledge of overseas operator internal operation mechanisms - CDCP certification and familiarity with overseas IDC or network ecosystem resources are a plus - Knowledge of mainstream data center servers and networking equipment - Understanding of IT hardware fundamentals, internet interconnection technologies, and overseas operator collaboration models - Strong operational service management skills, with knowledge of mainstream IT management frameworks - ITIL certification preferred - Strong communication, project management, and coordination skills, with hands-on experience in overseas IDC project management - PMP certification preferred - Steady and composed personality, meticulous yet bold in execution - Strong sense of responsibility, high learning agility, and strong team spirit - Ability to travel overseas as required for project construction or operational needs - Strong stress resilience and self-adjustment ability Benefits 2.
