Senior .NET Developer (Back End) at Arc Opportunity Overview Arc is hiring a Senior Software Developer III to join its Back End team as a fully remote position based in Colombia. This is a technical leadership role where you will shape architecture, mentor other developers, and influence how the platform evolves. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from design through production implementation, on a modern .NET stack. The role sits at the intersection of hands-on coding and strategic technical direction. You will design and build key features end-to-end, tackle business-critical challenges like third-party extensibility and real-time multi-user synchronization, and maintain services across both monolith and microservice architectures. You will also facilitate design discussions, represent the team in technical conversations with stakeholders, and help raise engineering maturity through design reviews, pair programming, and code reviews. Responsibilities - Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that deliver near-term business value while aligning with the future-state product and platform vision - Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and hands-on collaboration - Partner with senior developers, architects, and tech leads to define and execute the product/platform architecture roadmap - Balance delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health when making technical decisions - Break down large initiatives into parallelizable chunks of work that deliver incremental business value - Champion proposals through all phases of the SDLC, from design through production implementation - Contribute to improving the core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC - Troubleshoot and eliminate root causes of persistent production issues; drive reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response - Keep technical documentation current and create new artifacts as needed - Facilitate design discussions within and across teams - Represent the team in technical discussions with Tech Leads, Operations, Product/UX, Security, Domain SMEs, and external stakeholders - Mentor other developers through design reviews, pair programming, and code reviews - Share knowledge of new technologies and industry best practices to strengthen team-wide coding standards - Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and cloud capabilities that could benefit the platform - Design and build key features and architectural improvements for the platform, end-to-end, using modern .NET technology and architecture - Take initiative on complex, business-critical challenges such as third-party extensibility and real-time multi-user synchronization - Build and maintain services across both monolith and microservice architecture - Create and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and functions - Collaborate with a team of deep technical experience and strong domain knowledge; brainstorm and share ideas within an agile team of developers, testers, and a product owner Requirements & Qualifications - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience - 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team - In-depth experience with server-side .NET and C, including highly distributed microservice architecture - Proven experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS - Strong software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and a track record of advocating for code quality - Experience with test-driven development, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing - Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar) - Experience with both monolith applications and microservices - Knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL Server - Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements - Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality Nice to Have - Experience with container technologies such as Docker, ideally with orchestration such as Kubernetes - Experience with cloud providers beyond AWS (Azure, Google Cloud) - Knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts - Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio Tech Stack - Languages & Frameworks: .NET, C - Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (S3, Secrets Manager, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, EKS, etc.), CloudFormation, Terraform - Data: SQL Server, AWS RDS SQL Server - Testing & Observability: New Relic, AWS CloudWatch - Tooling: Jira, Visual Studio, GitHub, Devin, Claude Code Benefits - Contrato a término indefinido (permanent contract) with all legal benefits - Prepaid medicine - Life insurance and funeral assistance - Internet allowance - Home office stipend - Competitive compensation, above the market average - 100% remote work environment with excellent work-life balance - Opportunity to work for a growing global SaaS leader company - Culture that promotes independence, innovation, trust, and accountability - Open space to be creative, innovative, and strategize for the future - Mentorship by highly experienced professionals - Budget for training and professional growth - 5 Personal Time Off days per year - Sick leave top-up to total 100% of salary paid by the employer from Day 3 to 90 - Recognition Award with additional paid time off for years of service - Vacation upgrade starting at 5 years of service - AI-first engineering environment with modern tools, automation, and AI-driven ways of working How to Apply 1.
