Business Operations Associate

Fully Remote Part-time (3 days p/week) September start About the Role We're looking for a Business Operations Associateto help keep Obelisk running smoothly as we grow. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the "behind the scenes" work that makes a business tick - clean data, clear processes, and nothing left waiting to be chased. Experience in a legal, professional services, or compliance environment would be an excellent fit, such as a senior paralegal, legal operations professional, or operations administrator. This role reports to the CFO. Responsibilities include: Workflow consistency and data quality Writing and maintaining our operational process library as workflows are built and refined Running a weekly rhythm of checks e.g. data quality, supplier renewals, compliance flags, job records/timesheets Tracking recurring data issues and surfacing patterns Compliance and supplier administration Building and maintaining a register of key operational and systems suppliers Tracking statutory / operational compliance requirements Maintaining the insurance policy schedule and renewal calendar Systems administration Acting as first point of contact for routine operational system queries, from Microsoft 365 to our own proprietary system Process improvement - spotting opportunities to simplify processes or remove inefficiencies What we're looking for: Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously i.e. project management or business analysis Systems-confident and curious - you are genuinely interested in how systems connect and where data flows break AI-aware and open to learning Able to work at pace and independently, confident managing multiple workstreams Familiarity with ALSP structures or in-house legal team operations would be useful What can we offer you?
