WASH Officer at UNICEF
Opportunity Overview Join the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Niger as a WASH Officer (Emergency) and make a significant impact in the lives of children. As a key member of the WASH team, you will provide technical, operational, and administrative assistance in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of WASH output results. With a focus on emergency preparedness and response, you will contribute to the realization of children's rights in Niger. Benefits & Financial Aid Eligibility Criteria Education: An advanced university degree in public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering, or another relevant technical field. Work Experience: At least 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in WASH programming, including programme management, monitoring and evaluation, behavior change communication, public health engineering, and emergency preparedness. Skills: Background in humanitarian preparedness, response, and recovery, knowledge management, intervention, reporting, data analysis, and national government WASH policies. Language Requirements: Fluency in French is required. Additional requirements: + Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language + Additional training or certification in WASH in emergencies, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and community-based approaches + UN system experience + Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts Required Documents CV Letters of recommendation Academic credentials Employment history How to Apply 1.
