The International Rescue Committee is hiring a Service and Content Mapping Officer to work in Venezuela. This role involves developing informative notes with a service focus, managing social media platforms, and updating geographic references, contact forms, and institutional service points. The officer will identify and validate information on service providers in Venezuela, prioritizing areas affected by the earthquake emergency, population mobility, and vulnerable local communities. The Service and Content Mapping Officer will work closely with field teams, coordination meetings, clusters, and other sources to identify service providers, organize meetings, and develop tools for service entry and updating. They will also be responsible for content management, including writing, editing, and adapting articles, informative notes, and multimedia pieces for the web and social media. Responsibilities Identify service providers through field team information, coordination meetings, clusters, documentary research, social media, reference channels, user surveys, focus groups, and other sources Organize in-person or virtual meetings with identified providers to present InfoPa’lante Venezuela and link their service offerings to the information platform Develop tools such as service entry forms, update templates, and agreements with service providers Ensure the completion of service forms and informed consent for service management on the web portal Communicate continuously with service providers to guarantee the accuracy and coherence of information in the service directory Coordinate with other actors to search for and update information to avoid duplication of efforts Conduct regular field visits to verify offered services and capture any access barriers Review the content and design of the service directory on an ongoing basis Write, edit, and adapt articles, informative notes, and multimedia pieces for the web and social media Identify information needs of prioritized populations and transform them into accessible content Design and maintain a publication calendar aligned with the main information queries identified in the territory Ensure the consistency of tone, style, and inclusive language on all platforms Administer social media profiles, ensuring constant and effective communication Monitor social media trends and apply SEO strategies and good digital accessibility practices Analyze performance metrics and prepare periodic reports Adjust the content strategy based on results and feedback Work with platform moderators to ensure the coverage of information needs and treatment of risks associated with disinformation Coordinate with internal and external collaborators to disseminate key information Requirements & Qualifications Professional title in Social Communication, Journalism, or similar Previous experience in humanitarian action organizations, human rights, and/or development Knowledge of humanitarian protection and care programs Proven experience in editing and publishing digital audiovisual content Demonstrated understanding of working with populations in emergency situations, mobility processes, and vulnerable communities in general Experience with CMS (Content Management Systems) Flexible to sudden changes High level of attention to detail Ability to work autonomously Strong command of computer equipment and familiarization with basic software tools: Windows, Android, Skype, Microsoft Suite, and geolocation services Valued knowledge of English Personal qualities: leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to relate to key actors in humanitarian organizations and community leadership Benefits Opportunity to work with a humanitarian organization Professional development and growth Collaborative and dynamic work environment 2.
